Lithia has a population of approximately 9,000 residents and is an unincorporated community in Hillsborough County that is just 20 miles southeast of Tampa. It includes the census-designated community of Fish Hawk as well. Until the mid-20th century, the area was a prime place for mining phosphate, ranching and farming. Lithia is bordered by Keysville to the northeast, Bloomingdale to the northwest, Riverview to the west, Fort Lonesome to the south and Bradley Junction and Brewster to the east.
